City Streets

Wandering around city streets with my camera trying to capture the essence of the various cities and the people who inhabit them or who, like me, are just visiting.

Street photography is dominated by black and white images, it’s said that there are less distractions with black and white. Certainly your eye is drawn into the picture with this genre and you are able to study the subject in context of the background and what else is going on.

But Cities are also filled with colour and vibrancy, so sometimes Black and White images don’t tell the whole story. Hence I think colour is equally important to tell the story of the streets and the people who inhabit them.

Whether you prefer colour, or the more traditional black and white, street photography has always been about capturing a moment, hopefully you’ll enjoy the city moments I’ve captured in these two portfolios.
